Recently, the Virginia Tech American Marketing Association proudly represented the Pamplin College of Business at the International Collegiate AMA Conference in New Orleans. The conference is a sales and marketing summit where more than 200 colleges around the world compete in events and case competitions. Industry leaders give presentations and there are career networking opportunities. With support from Pamplin’s marketing department, the Virginia Tech chapter of the AMA (VTAMA) was able to send eight student representatives.

Although the chapter is only two years old, it made a tremendous splash in the International Website Competition. This year’s website design team, headed by freshman Gregory Grande, proved to be a fantastic success; they placed fourth, ahead of several more established chapters. Virginia Tech AMA members say they will proudly use this accomplishment to strive for excellence in future endeavors.
