Emma Babiec

Emma Babiec is an Honors Senior Marketing Management student with a concentration in Digital Marketing Strategy (DMS) and a minor in Sustainability within the Pamplin College of Business. She is from Ellington, Connecticut and is passionate about sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Emma aspires to work in an interdisciplinary field where she’s able to combine her love for renewable energy while working in advertising or consulting. 

As a freshman, Emma eagerly joined a student engineering design team, the Wind Turbine Team at VT, where she noticed an opportunity to grow their marketing efforts. She has since taken on the roles of Treasurer and Marketing Lead, where she designs apparel and creates content for their social media platforms. As Treasurer, she is responsible for the team’s financial reports and managing the engineering sponsorships funding. She led her team to win 1st place in the Connection Creation Contest at the 2021 and 2022 Collegiate Wind Competition, which is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Additionally, she has been a Teaching Assistant for numerous classes: Foundations of Business, Intro to Marketing, and Careers in Marketing where she oversees and engages with students, helps to administer class, and grade assignments. Currently, she is a Strategic Marketing Intern for Adams & Knight, an integrated marketing agency located in Avon, CT which “serves brands that help others live healthier, wealthier, and happier lives.” As a junior, she was a Product Marketing Intern for Owens & Minor, a FORTUNE 500 global healthcare logistics company, where she completed a pricing analysis capstone project. She just returned from the Linking Lives study abroad program in Lugano, Switzerland where she fell in love with traveling and exploring Europe. She cannot recommend the program enough to other students!

When Emma is not working or studying, she enjoys traveling, cooking, listening to Post Malone, playing on her co-ed intramural basketball team,  and working out with friends.
