Debjit Gupta is a Doctoral Candidate in the Marketing Department in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech.

Debjit earned a BA in Economics from Jadavpur University and MS in Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute.

Yegyu Han

Yegyu Han is a third-year doctoral candidate in Marketing at Pamplin College of Business, Virginia Tech.

She earned her B.A. in Business Administration as well as her M.S. in Marketing from Korea University.

Yegyu’s research interests are in the areas of Consumer Psychology and Consumer Decision Making.

Deasy Priadi

Deasy Priadi earned a BA in psychology from Universitas Indonesia and MBA from Carey Business School, Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Priadi is currently in her second year in the Department of Marketing.

Her professional experiences include working at the World Bank Office Jakarta where she was awarded the 2010 Regional Spot Award for cooperation and excellence in the East Asia and Pacific Region and Eli Lilly where she was the first in Indonesia to be recruited as a Corporate MBA.

Her interest in marketing started during undergraduate where she wrote a thesis on impulsive buying. At Carey Business School, she worked as a research assistant for a microfinance study and completed a marketing project for a micro-asset financing business based in Kenya.

She wishes to study consumer behavior in the context of poverty during her graduate studies.

Daniel Villanova

Daniel Villanova is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Marketing at the Pamplin College of Business, Virginia Tech. Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing and management and a minor in political science from Appalachian State University in 2013. While pursuing his degree, he was a recipient of the Chancellor’s Scholarship, and he graduated with university, departmental, and Latin honors. Daniel studies consumer behavior. His research focuses on two areas: 1) how consumers utilize numerical information in judgments and decision-making, and 2) how consumers’ identities affect their behavior.

Jieru Xie

Jieru Xie is a first year student of the Doctoral Program in Marketing in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech.

Ms. Xie earned a BBA and a MS in Marketing from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.
