Do you have any advice for incoming students or prospective students?

Take advantage of your time in Pamplin. This is your time to figure out what you are passionate about and maybe not so passionate about. Get involved. Go to Pamplin events. Meet with your professors. Connect with your peers. And don't be afraid to ask for help or advice from those around you. You only have four years as a student here at Virginia Tech so be fearless and put yourself out there!

Why did you choose Marketing/What makes Marketing in Pamplin stand out to you?

I was involved in DECA throughout high school and found that I really enjoyed competing in Marketing role plays. I also really enjoyed how my Marketing classes allowed me to express my creativity. When I got to college I realized that it was something I was passionate about and wanted to pursue. The professors within Marketing in Pamplin stand out to me the most. Last semester I took MKTG 3014 with Professor Wertalik. Her enthusiasm and curiosity about the subject made class very interesting and enjoyable.

Is there anything you wish you did differently as an underclassmen student?

I wish that I had made better relationships with my professors Freshman and Sophomore year. They give great advice and are very awesome resources throughout college and beyond. Professors can also help point you in certain directions that may be beneficial for your career and future.

What do you hope to do post graduating?

I am unsure of whether I'd like to pursue a career in Finance or in Marketing post graduation. I really hope to have a career where I am able to be creative while helping other's out/making the world a better place. As of now I don't know where that will lead me.
