We are extremely thrilled to highlight the performances of the Professional Sales Program within the Pamplin College of Business and Virginia Tech. Mark Michalisin and Randall McCrea recruited students within the Principles of Professional Selling class to achieve some major wins!

For the first time, Virginia Tech’s students participated in the RNMKRS Virtual Sales Competition.There were close to 3,000 students participating from numerous colleges and universities across the United States and Canada. The competition was broken down into two components: Speed Sell and Role Play.  The Speed Sell consisted of trying to make it to the 40th floor in an elevator while conversing with the prospect, and the role play was a full sales call.

The results from the competition were very impressive. Considering the amount of students from universities around the world, this was no easy feat! 6 hokies placed in the top 1% of all competitors, including (Kaeli) Michaela Broyhill, Grayson Lawrence, Corinne Beadle, James King, Elise Colannino, and Bella Mensche. Kaeli Broyhill was the top performer in the practice round, was the East Regional Champion for both Speed Sell and Role Play, and finished 3rd overall in the Role Play competition. Virginia Tech was #1 of all schools in the top 30 of performances, and faculty members Mark Michalisin and Randall McCrea were named top 1% of all coaches. Overall, this was a very impressive showing for Virginia Tech and our students.  For the first time competing, the Hokies made their mark and left a very strong impression. Great work team!

A little background information about our Sales Program at VT: The Professional Sales Program is a competitive program supported by the VT Sales Center, world-class faculty, the University Sales Center Alliance, and a distinctive board of advisors made up of industry leaders from top sales and business organizations. The program offers both Minor and Concentration tracks in professional sales designed to complement any major or area of study. The program also boasts a 100% job placement rate for those that complete the program and would like to continue on to a career in professional B2B consultative sales.
