The Pamplin College of Business welcomes Liz Wilson ‘10 and Sarah Bentley ’04 to join the Marketing Advisory Board (MAB). 

Wilson graduated from Virginia Tech in 2010 with degrees in marketing and psychology and is a vice president at American Express, where she leads Strategy and Business Planning for the Membership Portfolio Services organization. She serves as chief of staff to a global team of1,600 colleagues spanning premium dining (Resy, Tock, Rooam), Amex Offers Digital Media, Enterprise Communications, and MarTech Experiences. MarTech or marketing technology encompasses the software, data tools, and platforms used to plan, execute and measure the Amex campaigns. Her team is focused on driving long-term growth and differentiation through membership. She’s a seasoned product and strategy leader with deep experience scaling early-stage and experimental products into enterprise-level value drivers. Wilson also holds a master’s degree in social-organizational psychology from Columbia University.

Based in New York City, and with over a decade at American Express, she has held leadership roles across mobile, digital membership, loyalty, and offers, launching products and features in more than 12 global markets and leading teams across four continents.

Bentley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2004, and has continued her career at Tom James, the luxury custom clothing company. Now in her 22nd year with the company, she has worked in multiple markets including Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, and now in her hometown of Richmond, VA. Bentley advises, builds, and maintains wardrobes for clientele in Richmond, as well as growing a sales teams across Virginia, Illinois, and Wisconsin. With a keen sense for reading people, she knows when and how to offer suggestions, making the experience of selecting and purchasing clothing both enjoyable and educational.

Established in the fall of 2010, the Virginia Tech Marketing Advisory Board (MAB supports the Department of Marketing in enhancing the educational experience of students in marketing and sales. Each board member brings diverse business and industry expertise from across the nation.

The board welcomes Wilson and Bentley, and looks forward to their insight and mentorship that will help marketing students.
