Allison Stirrup

Allison Stirrup graduated from Virginia Tech in 1998 with a Marketing Degree from Pamplin.  Allison joined Ferguson right after graduation and has been with Ferguson for 25 years.  She started out in sales, moving to Fort Myers, FL with Ferguson, spending about five years in sales and sales management roles before moving to the corporate office.  The move to our corporate office brought Allison into HR, taking a role in talent acquisition as a recruiter.  Over the last 20 years, Allison has held various responsibilities within HR.  She spent about 15 years on the Talent side of HR – from managing our recruiting team to running the recruiting, career development and training teams as the Senior Director of Talent.  In 2018, Allison transitioned over to the HR Business Partner side of HR and has spent the last 6 years in varying roles in the HRBP organization.

 Currently, Allison holds the role of Vice President of HR, with oversight for our HR Business Partners, Organizational Design and Change Management teams.  The team partners with and supports 32,000 leaders and associates across Ferguson’s 1400 locations nationwide.  Our organizational design and change management team works across the HRBP team to support the organization, and also runs larger enterprise-wide change projects.

Originally from Hampton Roads, Allison currently lives in Norfolk and works out of our headquarters location in Newport News, VA.  She and her husband are avid Hokie fans (he has adopted the Hokies as his favorite team too,) and are season ticket holders for football.  They have two children, 11 and 8, and try to get to as many Hokie football games as possible.  The hope is that those two will attend Virginia Tech one day as well, so they are working hard to cultivate the Hokie spirit in the kids!
