Jackie Mitchell

Jackie Mitchell is a second-year graduate student in communications at the School of Communications at Virginia Tech. She is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, class of 2025, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications focusing on Multimedia Journalism and a minor in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She was born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia. Jackie took advantage of the 4 plus 1 program and is excited to earn her M.A. in communications this spring.

Her research concentrates on travel journalism and travel influencers. This study aims to explore how communications and marketing can influence the travel and tourism industry.

Outside of Virginia Tech, Jackie enjoys personal content creation, baking, reading, hanging out with friends, watching movies, and, of course, cheering on the Hokies at various sporting events.
