I’m Valaipetch PearAivey Street (Aivey), and am excited to share a bit about myself and my professional journey with you. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, I graduated from Krannert School of Management, Purdue University in 2005. Upon completing my studies, I started my first business in the town of Blacksburg, Virginia and launched my career as an entrepreneur. Over the years, this Virginia Tech community has become my home, and I’ve had the joy of launching several successful businesses here, including a few well-loved restaurants.
I have a number of family members who attended Virginia Tech, including my husband, David A. Street, my sister, Valailuck Pie Mackey, many of my in-laws, including my mother in law, Fay Street ,and my late father in law Nicholas D. Street. N.D. Street received a number of honors at Virginia Tech, including the Distinguished Alumni award from the Corps of Cadets, and the University's Ut Prosim award.
Currently, I reside in Naples, Florida, where I continue to cultivate my passion for business and community engagement. I serve as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the First and Main shopping center in Blacksburg. In this dynamic role, I leverage my extensive knowledge in business and finance to foster meaningful communication and relationships with our clients, customers and local community. In addition to my role at First and Main, I serve as Chief Marketing Officer- SC for Street Investment Group. I am also a Business Development consultant for the Interiors Group of Southwest Florida. This position allows me to apply my creative mindset and strategic planning abilities, analyze the company's procedure to improve,and help to shape beautiful and functional spaces for our clients in Naples and beyond.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I have a deep commitment to giving back to my community. I am passionate about local outreach and actively volunteer my time and resources to support the success of small businesses. Whether it’s mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs or organizing fundraising events for nonprofit organizations, I am dedicated to making a positive impact. Global citizenship is another area close to my heart. I am an enthusiastic advocate for initiatives that promote cultural understanding and collaboration. I truly believe that we all hold the responsibility to support one another, no matter where we are in the world.
