Darrell Gehrt, Vice President of Sales brings more than a decade of experience in senior management roles at fast-growing SaaS companies, where he has built and led successful organizations. Darrell joined Cvent pre-IPO in January 2013 to run sales for the Web Survey Division where he led a rebrand effort to Inquisium, including a more robust go-to-market plan, website, and growth strategy. In 2016, Darrell’s responsibilities expanded and today he also owns revenue responsibility for the mobile division including integrating sales teams of two mobile acquisitions.
Prior to joining Cvent, Darrell was senior director of sales at Angel, Inc., a division of MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) where he ran both mid-market and Enterprise Sales teams. While at Angel, Darrell played a key role in helping the company double revenue while moving from wide loses to profitability which directly led to its successful sale in 2013 for 5x revenue. Darrell started his sales career right out of Virginia Tech in straight commission cellular sales before launching his own company in 1998 with a successful exit in 2001. Darrell also held sales and management roles at TARGUSinfo (sold to Neustar, Inc) and Parature (sold to Microsoft).
