Biography

Stephen Juma is passionate about start-up businesses and nonprofit organizations. He founded the Mercy Feeding Program outside of Kisumu, The project provides lunch and clean water for students in the rural villages of Kenya. The community project model are set to be self-sustainable within one year. Stephen’s cooperate experience includes Southwest as an Analyst, FedEX  as an auditor and  Cummins as a Marketing Analyst

Stephen earned a B.A. in Philosophy and International studies from Loyola University, Chicago and a M.A. in Liberal Studies from the University of Memphis. In addition to his passion for start-ups and nonprofit organizations, Stephen has a strong research interest in consumer judgment and decision making research. Stephen’s dissertation addresses shifts in consumer mental states, (specifically the causes and consequences of hope, curiosity, scarcity and mindfulness) and how such shifts affect consumption decision making both in the short and long term.
