Biography

Marjorie Woods is passionate about global education and social marketing. She studied abroad as an undergraduate before serving as a Resident Advisor for the Lugano study abroad programs through the Virginia Tech Marketing Department. She is now the Program Coordinator of the Lugano programs overseeing student groups and NGO partners in Switzerland, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Kenya. She is also the President of The Taaluma Project, a nonprofit created to support educational opportunities in Eastern Africa, and the founder of Linking Lives LLC a global education consulting company. 

Marjie is a master’s student in Marketing. She received her B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology and a minor in Communication from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech in 2018.
