Misty Atwell Blankenship
Title: Administrative & Academic Manager; Liaison to UG Advising Center
Misty joined Virginia Tech in 2003 working as an administrative assistant in the Undergraduate Programs Office, in the Pamplin College of Business. She later moved to the College of Engineering with the Department of Computer Science where she served as a graduate program assistant and Interim Assistant to the Department Head.
In 2007, Misty returned to the Pamplin College of Business to the Marketing Department, working as the Graduate Programs Coordinator as well as advising undergraduate students at the junior and senior levels for three years, and now serves as the departmental liaison to Undergraduate Advising.
Misty has fifteen years of knowledge and experience in Higher Education, eleven of those in the Marketing Department, where in 2017 she became the Administrative and Academic Manager.
She earned her degree from Bluefield College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Leadership Development.
Title: Program Support Technician
Emily joined the Marketing Department in 2007 as Program Support Technician. Prior to that, because of her love of reading and her BA in English from Roanoke College, Emily managed various bookstores for over twenty years. She especially loved the customer service aspect. Other jobs included events coordinator at a B&B, waitress, housecleaner, proofreader, and library book shelver. Emily enjoys being at home with her five cats, watching the birds at her many birdfeeders. She also loves to travel. Reading anything, but especially science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction is one of her favorite things to do.
Lori L. Sharp
Title: Graduate Program Coordinator
Lori comes to us with a fifteen-year history in publishing from print to web. Earning her degree from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. Lori is a native of Radford and spent her formative years growing up in the New River Valley. She joined Virginia Tech in 2013 as an administrative and fiscal technician in the College of Engineering. She later moved on to Office of University Planning as the department operations manager and administrative assistant to the Vice President of Planning.
Lori is now a part of the Pamplin College of Business, in the Department of Marketing as the Graduate Program Coordinator.
