Biography

With over 21 years of experience in higher education, Misty has built a distinguished career marked by expertise in academic and administrative support. For the past 20 years, Misty has been an integral part of the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech, with 17 years specifically serving the Department of Marketing. In her current role as Lead Administrative and Academic Manager, Misty provides crucial assistance to both faculty and the Department Head, facilitating smooth operations and supporting the department's academic mission.

Misty holds an associate’s degree in administrative support technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and Leadership Development. Her broad skill set, combined with a deep understanding of the needs of both faculty and students, allows her to effectively manage complex administrative tasks and contribute to the success of the Marketing department.

Throughout her career, Misty has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting the academic community, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the efficient delivery of educational programs.
