Students all over the country have been looking forward to a summer of enriching experiences and professional development.

A career in sales, as incredibly rewarding as it can be, is often viewed as somewhat intimidating by those considering it as a profession. But overcoming that fear can be as easy as tip-toeing out of your comfort zone.

The Delta Epsilon Chapter of Virginia Tech was named a finalist in two different categories and was a nominee in a third at the 2020 Pi Sigma Epsilon Virtual National Convention. The convention, which was originally scheduled to be held in Norfolk, Va., was moved online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Sales Education Foundation (SEF) has named the Marketing Department’s Professional Sales Program to its list of “Top Universities for Professional Sales Education.” The ranking appears in the 14th edition of the SEF Annual magazine, utilizing data collected from university sales education programs in the United States and throughout the world.

More than 230 juniors and seniors flocked to the Squires Student Center on Virginia Tech’s campus at the start of the 2019 Fall semester to vie for the sales industry’s most coveted jobs and internships. Now in its 3rd year, Sales Industry Day is one of the Pamplin College of Business’s most successful career fairs and has grown steadily in its endeavor to match Virginia Tech student talent with the nation’s top businesses and corporations.
